Last week saw a surprise hit on PSP in the form of SD Gundam G Generation Overworld in Japan. The Namco Bandai game, which includes over 900 SD Gundam units, sold 209,815 copies in its first week.

Following it at #2 was Dead or Alive 5, which sold 66,586 copies on the PlayStation 3 and another 14,811 copies on the Xbox 360 further down the chart.

At #3 was Nintendo’s Style Savvy: Trendsetters for the Nintendo 3DS, which sold 65,908 copies at launch.  While that seems like a slow start, it’s similar to the original Style Savvy on the Nintendo DS. Released in 2008, that game sold 75,770 copies at launch, and went on to sell over 900,000 copies by the end of 2011.

Nihon Falcom also released their latest game last week—Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees for the PlayStation Vita. The game sold 42,146 copies in its first week. Finally, also for the Vita was D3 Publisher’s Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable, sales of which can be found at two points in the chart below.
