While an Undertale song pack was revealed for Taiko no Tatsujin on the game’s actual anniversary, creator Toby Fox used the day to provide more information about the follow-up, Deltarune. On Twitter, he noted that the design is going well and shared two songs from the game, “Lost Girl (Noelle)” and “Welcome to the City.”
“Welcome to the City” was shared first. It is a jaunty tune and, in a subsequent tweet, Fox said, “Note: the City is extremely small.”

Two versions of “Lost Girl (Noelle)” were shared after that. In the first chapter, she’s a classmate who doesn’t actually join the party, but does engage more with Kris than the other characters. Fox noted that this theme will appear multiple times in the game.
The first version is slower.

The second is more upbeat.
Of course, that’s not the only version of that song. Lots and lots of things happen. I just hope you can be friends with everyone someday. pic.twitter.com/D2RwilJBHf

In addition, Fox offered an update on Deltarune development in general on Twitter. He noted:
“The design of the actual game and the specifics of what happen are going really well. I have a lot of confidence in the game that is currently written in my notes. At least, I think people that enjoy the things that I make, will enjoy it. That’s all I’m ever aiming for. There are other aspects that are facing some hurdles, but they’ll definitely get overcome. Trust me when I say that, although I want to take my time making an excellent game, I also want to get the game into peoples’ hands as quickly as possible. Seriously.”
Deltarune Chapter 1 is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
