Some requests in Monster Hunter may require you to track down some endemic lifeforms, such as when the researcher Dareel asks for certain kinds of lizards. These are much smaller game than you may be used to hunting, so here’s how to find and capture an Ember Rufflizard in Monster Hunter Wilds
How to Catch an Ember Rufflizard in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Ember Rufflizard is found only within the Oilwell Basin zone in Monster Hunter Wilds, and they are most common during the Firespring and in areas with abundant heat. Area 15, down in the depths of the zone, is a good place to check for them and they can be easily identified by the green, glowing patterns on their bodies.
To capture the Ember Rufflizard, or indeed most forms of endemic life, you’ll need to use the Capture Net equipment. You’ll earn this early on during the story, and can be found easily in the Essential Items tab of the radial menu. Use the net to load it in to your slinger, aim, and then fire to launch the net and capture any enemic life it hits. You should see a pop-up on the right of your screen with the creature’s name and how many Guild Points capturing it has netted you.
As mentioned before, the Ember Rufflizard in Monster Hunter Wilds is the target of the 3rd quest in the series picked up from Dareel and Samin in the Windward Plains camp. Even if you’ve caught one before, you’ll unfortunately have to grab another one after accepting the quest. However, turning it in will reward you with 5 Honey, 10 Might Seed, and a bit of Hunter Rank experience for your troubles.
